Join our gentle mixed herd of free-roaming goats for a beautiful sunrise walk at Coll de Rates, one of the most spectacular viewpoints in Alicante Province. During the cooler summer months, we embrace the traditional Mediterranean rhythm of the day by starting early, allowing both guests and animals to enjoy the mountains before the heat arrives. We meet at the Coll de Rates car park at 5:30am and set off at a relaxed, family-friendly pace. The route follows a wide mountain track with stunning views across the surrounding valleys and peaks. As dawn breaks, we slowly make our way to a panoramic viewing area where we pause to watch the sunrise over the Costa Blanca mountains. While the landscape awakens around us, we serve fresh coffee, tea and croissants, giving everyone time to relax, take photographs and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The goats are free to wander, browse and explore while guests experience a side of Spain that most visitors never see. This experience is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for all ages. Because the viewing area can also be reached by road, an accessible support vehicle can be arranged for less mobile guests, making it ideal for multi-generational families travelling together. After breakfast, we enjoy a gentle return walk to the car park, finishing the experience before the summer heat builds.
