Easy/moderate 2 -hour valley walk

Service Description

A forest valley walk, 33% of which is quiet country lanes, 33 % forest track, and the rest low mountainside. This walk is gentle but with some slight inclines. Walking with goats is a very different experience from walking with other humans or walking with dogs. Goats are prey animals and because we have raised them from a young age they see humans as protectors. By choice they stay with the herd, that is the walking humans. A friend of ours describes the experience as traveling in a river. The large male goats create a powerful and exciting torrent whilst the young and baby goats create a joyful bubbling stream. On the longer mountain walks expect a torrent at the start and then a gentle meditative flow as we all get into step.
